Program Details

The Foundation Basketball League is a junior basketball league for Year 3 through to Year 8. The league has catered to primary & intermediate schools from Remuera, Orakei, Meadowbank, Kohimarama, St Heliers & Glendowie, for over 10 years.

The games are officiated with development in mind. Referees provide on-the-run instruction, allowing kids to learn without the game stopping all the time.

Basketball League

Registration:

$450 per team

The FBL operates year-round, aligning with all four school terms, with each term consisting of 7-8 weeks of games. We have three age groups:

Years 3 & 4: Friday afternoons from 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM.
Years 5 & 6: Play Monday evenings from 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM.
Years 7 & 8: Play on Wednesday evenings from 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM.

For our younger children, our league focuses on development and participation. The rules are tailored to each age group, for age-appropriate officiating that prioritises development and enjoyment. This approach has helped teams grow and prepare for high school basketball.
